Have you heard the term “Raving Fan” or “Influencers” in regards to marketing your business? When you review your marketing techniques, consider adding one just for your raving fans or influencers. These are your clients or customers that rave about you. They talk you up all the time, to everyone. They are your #1 fan. They have a lot of friends, possibly an active Facebook user too. They know what you do and the services you provide, but do they know everything.

Take a moment to make sure they have extra business cards, they know your website address, if it’s a tricky one, and make sure you are connected to them on LinkedIn,  Facebook, and other social media platforms. People naturally go to influencers for advice. Make sure your influencer knows everything about you.

Take them out for coffee, give them a call or send them an email. Explain you are trying to grow your business. Ask them for recommendations, what tools could you provide to them that would make you more referable? Depending on your type of business, you could develop a specific campaign to reach them that includes invitations to events, exclusive offers or other incentives.

This person is going to recommend your service or products to their friends, over and over. Make sure they truly understand all of the benefits of the product or service you offer.

And, of course, give them a big “Thank You” with a smile…

Ways to Promote Your Blog Post

Take advantage of your networks and post your blog on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and other sites. Create several unique status updates listing the reasons to visit your new website or blog and include a link to your site.

Simple Instructions

To create a “link” directly to your blog post, be on your specific blog post, then copy the URL address in your browser at the top of the screen. Then, go to Facebook or wherever, and paste the URL link. Add a comment about the link. It will drive traffic to your site and users will land specifically on our post vs. your Home page.

Ask your friends to SHARE with their friends. Remember the power of viral marketing!

Consider buying an ad on Facebook. You can create a specific daily budget and reach your target market.

Announce your new site or blog to the groups you’re affiliated with on LinkedIn, Facebook, and other professional organizations. Make posts directly on their sites and blogs. Again, you want to position yourself as the expert and provide a solution to their problem.

There are software and apps out there that can automate this posting as well.
