Michelle Aspelin | MembershipWorks Implementation Specialist
I work with small businesses, associations, and nonprofit organizations that need help setting up and managing their websites and membership systems. Many organizations have great ideas but lack the time or technical knowledge to implement them effectively.
I specialize in MembershipWorks implementation services, helping organizations set up membership management, event registration, and automated processes that keep everything organized and running smoothly.
My goal is simple: take the technical work off your plate so you can focus on growing your organization and serving your members or clients.
I have found that small businesses and organizations are full of ideas but lack the time or knowledge to implement their ideas. In order to move your business forward, you need to work “on” your business, not just “in” it.
If you’ve been in business for a while, your biggest need may be more time. I can help you leverage your talents and skills by implementing systems and managing your website, which frees you up to do more of what you love and what you’re good at, which supports why you started your business in the first place.
If you run a nonprofit organization or association, you need reliable systems to manage members, events, and donations. As a MembershipWorks implementation specialist, I help organizations set up a simple website along with a membership and event management process using MembershipWorks so your team can stay organized and focus on your mission.
I also provide clear documentation and training so volunteers and staff can maintain the system independently.
If you’re considering implementing MembershipWorks or improving your current membership system, I’d be happy to talk through your goals and see how I can help. I also partner with other developers, learn more on my partners page.

My Story
I am a huge advocate of my local community. In 2008, I wanted a single website to showcase the City of Victoria, its amenities AND the businesses and organizations in Victoria, MN, so I decided to hire a web designer to build a custom WordPress website and I called it Think Victoria MN.
I saw how effective the site was at quickly rising to the top of the search engine results, so I decided to immerse myself in the platform and learn all I could about what made it so effective (first page of Google).
I used my new skills to create a WordPress website for my networking group. Then, in 2010, the newly formed Arts Consortium of Carver County reached out to me to build them a website. I got started immediately building them a WordPress website that I managed for them for 10 years!
In 2010, I officially launched Mindshare Marketing & Implementation Services.
After building my first successful WordPress site and seeing it reach the first page of Google, I began helping organizations implement websites and membership systems that support their growth. Over time, I developed a focus on helping organizations implement membership platforms like MembershipWorks efficiently and correctly the first time. I started to focus more on MembershipWorks implementation services.
My passion is to solve my client’s problems and do the work that needs to be done to make them successful. That’s why my company name not only references marketing but my implementation services, I get it done!
I started this business because I understand what it is like to be an entrepreneur and wear all the hats. There comes a time when there aren’t enough hours in the day for a small business owner or nonprofit to do everything themselves, that’s where I come in.
I help my clients creatively share their message, product, or service with their audience. I am a Learner, Communicator and Activator (read about my Top Strengths) and I thrive when I can work on a variety of tasks for membership, websites, and blogs. Every day is different and presents new challenges.
Giving my clients more time so they can use their strengths and focus on growing their small business or nonprofit organization makes me smile. The services I provide offer a sense of relief for my clients. They know I will complete the task or project on time, often offering suggestions for improvement along the way. I love what I do and always enjoy meeting new clients and learning how I can make their life easier.

“Michelle is an amazing asset to any organisation hoping to build a membership platform. She stepped in after I had procrastinated for months trying to figure out how to get started and got everything up and running within a few short weeks, and to a tight timescale of a significant date for my company. She is clear, efficient, professional and patient. She worked beautifully with my team to support them in building their knowledge and project-managed the whole process. Her communication is clear and the workbooks she provides are outstanding. We were working across very different time zones as we are UK-based, and yet the service was prompt and seamless. Michelle came highly recommended to me and I am delighted to ‘pay it forward’ she is the best. ” Karen Foy, The Coach Tribe

Here’s an excerpt from The Answer; Grow Any Business, Achieve Financial Freedom, and Live an Extraordinary Life by John Assaraf & Murray Smith
“Being a successful beautician is one thing. Being a successful beauty shop owner is another thing entirely! Going from the one to the other is like going from being a surgeon to owning a hospital. You need some very different skill sets to make that work. Identifying those traits and strengths you don’t have tells you where you need to bring other people into the equation.
Be clear on this: A weakness is not a negative; it’s just an indication of strengths you’ll need to look for in other people. Your strengths, passions, and unique abilities are your most precious asset, and the second-most precious asset you have will be your associations and working relationships with people who embody all those complementary strengths, passions, interests, and abilities you do not have.
Each one of us has to do it alone, but we can’t do it by ourselves. We need one another. Being the Lone Ranger is a tough way to go, and even he had Tonto to lean on. One of the secrets to achieving your goals is knowing how to ask for help from people who have those skills you don’t possess. In return, you offer them the skills you have, which will often turn out to be just what they need to achieve their goals. Complimentary skills serve everyone involved.”
